Mrs. Bell was born on April 16, 1939 in Caldwell County to the late John and Violet Shell Gilbert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne Frederick Bell who passed only hours before Dorothy, sisters, Jonnie Jean Gilbert, Patsy McCracken and a brother Jack Gilbert.
Dorothy is a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Dorothy attended Living Hope Church and Harvest Church where she loved to worship her Jesus.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Keith Bell and wife Stephanie of Lenoir, daughters, Sabrina Eldreth and husband Ronnie of Lenoir, Kendra Bell of Granite Falls, grandchildren, Bradley Bell of Granite Falls, Colby Bell of Memphis, TN, Riley Bell of Charlotte, Dalton Phillips of Lenoir, Kinleigh Bell of Lenoir, Kyler Bell of Lenoir, great-grandchildren, Maddox Bell, Boone Bell, Nora Bell and Quinn Bell. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A double funeral for Dorothy and her beloved husband Wayne will be held on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at 3:30 pm at Harvest Church in Hudson with Rev. Kevin Beard and Rev. Keith Gilliam officiating. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Harvest Church from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm.
