

Fern Frazier Lackey, 92, of Boomer passed away suddenly May 8, 2011 after celebrating a joyous Mother’s Day with her family. A sudden attack took her to spend Mother’s day with her son Steve Lackey who preceded her in death on April 14, 2011. She also joined her beloved husband, Thomas Herman Lackey on their 75th wedding anniversary. She was born on July 12, 1918 in Caldwell County to the late George Washington Frazier and Nellie Triplett Frazier. She is also preceded in death by two brothers; Jay Frazier and Forrest Frazier.
Fern was a much loved nursing assistant at Dula, Blackwelder and Caldwell Memorial Hospital and did private duty with several families. She was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church in Boomer.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lou Ann Lackey, Jeanne Hall and husband Bruce, one brother; Gib Frazier, four sisters; Charlotte Frazier, Joanne Johnson, Pansy Munday, Violet German, five grandchildren; Brooks, Jordan and Logan Brown, Dale Hall, Joy and husband Anthony Sharpe, three great grandchildren; D.J. Hall, Zoe Waters and Sage Sharpe.
Graveside Services for family and close friends for Mrs. Lackey will be held 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Little Rock Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Randy Goode officiating.
