Mr. Baker was born in Burke County to the late Knox Baker and Clara Ida Houck Baker.
Survivors include his wife Esther Baker; sons, Buddy Baker, Joey Baker, Richard Baker and Jeff Baker; daughters, Cynthia Baker, Jean Wendel, JoAnn Sigmon and Brenda Wright; a brother, Charles Baker; a sister, Belle Prestwood; 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
The Family will receive friends at the home Monday 28, 2012 from 12p.m. – 5p.m. at 2366 Rainbows heights Cr. Lenoir, NC 28645
