Frances S Ashby

Mrs. Ashby was born to the late William and Ruth Baker Smith in Caldwell County. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ashby was also preceded in death by her husband, Luther Thomas Ashby, six brothers, and three sisters.

Mrs. Ashby was retired from the Employment Security Commission. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lenoir where she was also a member of the United Methodist Women’s Circle.

Those left to cherish her memory include three daughters, Phyllis Kelly and husband Tim of Trinity N.C., Angie Poston and husband Mark of Wilmington N.C., Audrie Eidson and husband Allen of Atlanta Ga., and six grandchildren.

A graveside service for Mrs. Ashby will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Reverend Jamie Armstrong officiating.

The family will have a reception of friends following the graveside at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.
