Frances Juanita Pritchard

Frances (Juanita) Pritchard, 85, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, January 17, 2016 with her family by her side celebrating her early birthday.

Juanita was born in Bassett, VA on January 24, 1930 to the late Jesse Dewey Fralin and Chester Elizabeth Smith Fralin. Her mother passed at a young age and Juanita was raised by Granny Fralin and her father. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, H.A. (Hade) Pritchard, daughter, Martha Elizabeth Pritchard, sister, Ercelle Seay and brother, Dewey (Buddy) Fralin.

Juanita was a member of the Lower Creek Baptist Church. She devoted her life to her family which she raised in a Christian home. She was a gifted seamstress, painter and loved crafts.

Juanita is survived by two daughters, Brenda P. Hartley (Gary), Sandra Pritchard all of Lenoir, NC. She is survived by three grandchildren, Jon (Janna) Hartley of Winston- Salem, Erica Hartley of Raleigh, Meredith Cline (Rick) of Lenoir and one Great Grandchild, Reagan Cline. One sister Wilmonth Jean Brooks of Martinsville, VA, several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express gratitude to the nursing staff and other members including Dr. Ray for the tender care given to Juanita at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, Hudson, NC.

due to the weather, the family had made a change in the service date. The visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. at Pendry’s Funeral Home 522 Wilkesboro Blvd. SE Lenoir, NC on Sunday, January 24 2016.The funeral immediately following, Sunday 3 p.m. with Rev. Kelly Creekmur and Rev. Marietta Smith officiating.

North Carolina State Highway members will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will follow to Blue Ridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions shall be made to Caldwell County Hospice and Palliative Care.
