Frances Holder Scott

Born in Caldwell County, she was the daughter of the late William Hill Holder and Ruth Sharpe Holder.

Mrs. Scott was a homemaker and a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Walter Scott, Jr.; brothers, Roscoe Holder, Archie Holder, Henry Holder, Thomas Holder, Ray Holder and Warren Holder; and sisters, Mary Lou Holder, Nancy Cloer, Lucy Dula, Mildred Duncan, Ruby Pritchard, Pearl Jones, Hattie Hamby and Minnie Ennis.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Stephen L. Scott and wife Kay Scott, of Hudson; two grandchildren, Leslie Edney and husband Dennis, and David Scott, all of Hudson; and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with the Rev. Tony Harris officiating.
