George Allen Decker

Mr. Decker was the son of the late Avery Decker and Maebelle Wooten Decker. He was a retired truck driver from Lenoir Mirror after 41 years of service and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing and traveling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kay Decker.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kim Decker and Thad Livingston of Lenoir; his grandchildren, Katie, Jay and Emily Livingston; a great grandchild, Camden Jax; a special friend, Kathleen Foster and numerous other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 22, 2015 in Pendry’s Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Edd Warren officiating. Burial will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Caldwell Hospice.
