Harvey McKinley Shatley, 84, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2010, at his residence.
Mr. Shatley was born December 26, 1925 in Caldwell County to the late Joseph and Zella Greene Shatley. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Bertha St. John Shatley; one daughter, Judy Younce; one son, Harvey Shatley, Jr.; seven brothers; one sister; and one grandchild.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Earp of Lenoir, NC; one brother, Wayne Shatley of Lenoir; and one sister, Margie Shatley of Lenoir; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held for Mr. Shatley, Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Shatley Family Cemetery in Lenoir, NC with Preacher Mike Gragg officiating.
