Iris Shell, 73, passed away at her home on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on March 1, 1943 to the late Jonas and Vivian Johnson in Caldwell County. Iris will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
Along with her parents Iris is preceded in death by a son Kenneth Britt Shell and daughter Raela Jill Shell.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Kenneth Shell of the Home and daughter Amber Shell McNeilly of Lenoir.
Funeral services for Iris will be held Friday, April 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Pastor Ed Warren will be officiating the services.
