Jettie Irene Pennington Huffman

Jettie Irene Pennington Huffman, 91, of Lenoir, passed away December 25, 2014 at her residence.

Mrs. Huffman was born to the late Willard C. Pennington and Flossie Levina Haga Pennington. She was a retired rip saw operator at Broyhill Furniture and attended Lenoir Seventh-day Adventist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward R. Huffman, 2 daughters, 1 son, 5 brothers, 1 sister and 1 great grandchild.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Richard E. Huffman of White House, Tennessee and Daniel L. Huffman of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia; daughters, Retha Irene Nuckles of Lenoir and Charlotte Louise Sayler of Hagerstown, Maryland; brothers, Kyle Pennington of Lenoir, Douglas Pennington of Ooltewah, Tennessee, and Stanley Pennington of Lenoir; and sister, Ora Mae Thibodeau of Seaford, Delaware. Also left to cherish her memory are 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday, December, 28, 2014 at Pendry’s Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held, Monday, December, 29, 2014 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Konnarock, VA at 11 a.m with Pastor Kevin Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 a.m until 11 a.m. Burial will follow the service at the Azen Missionary Baptist Church cemetery.
