

She was born July 8, 1920 in Burke County and was the daughter of the late Marshall Brown and Effie Webb Brown.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, 1st husband Harve Edmond Austin and 2nd husband James Thomas Day, also a son, Thomas Edmond Austin, daughter, Jeanette Day Hardee; one grandson, Keith Edmond Kirby; two sisters, Edith Bentley and Rose Lee Whisanant; and two brothers, Reverend Ernest Brown and Herman Brown.
Junie is survived by sons, David Day and wife Ruby of Lenoir and Randy Day and wife Robin of Lenoir; daughters, Doris Austin Scruggs of Lenoir, Mary Austin Anderson and husband Berkley of Lenoir, and Geneva McCloud of Lenoir; sisters, Vera Mae Day of Lenoir, Evelyn Robinson of Lenoir, Mary Coffey of Morganton, Lillian Brittain of Hickory, also to cherish her memories are 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Services of Mrs. Day will be held Wednesday November 28, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Miracle Church (on N. Fairview Dr. in Lenoir) with Reverend Tim Sutter and Reverend David McNeil officiating, burial will follow at Worship Point Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm at Pendry’s Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Curtis, Michael Beard, Tim Austin, Jason Harris, David Allen Day and Ryan Day.
