

Fearless, faithful, determined, zealous, powerful, and in love with God describes this great woman. Overseer Juristine Corpening Caldwell, 67, of Lenoir went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 01, 2013 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital.
Ms. Caldwell was born in Caldwell County to Overseer Irene Moore Corpening of Lenoir and the late Archie Arthur Corpening. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jonathan Corpening and a sister, Joyce Corpening.
She has been preaching the word of God since 1973. She was ordained in 1974, under the leadership of Bishop J. G. Simenton and Overseer Irene Corpening. She was Assistant Pastor of Bible-Way Church #3 for over 14 years. She worked faithfully on many organizations at the church, some of which she founded. She was an advocate for the Pastor. She was in charge of the pastoral aide where she produced outstanding results yearly. She worked in the evangelistic field many years which inevitably prepared her for a greater calling. Through obedience a great work for the Lord was completed. She was the founder and organizer of Operation Love, Inc. and a member of the Executive Board of The Church of The Living God Pillar and Ground of the Truth, Inc.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Carrie Foddrell (Darrin), Evangelist Irene Caldwell, Pauleisha Caldwell, all of Lenoir, and Cassandra Jefferson (Kevin) of Virginia; her adopted son, Elder Christopher Daniels (Sharon); her brothers, James Corpening, Elder Jackie Corpening (Tammy), Douglas Corpening (Leslie), Michael Corpening (Jennifer) and Arthur Eugene Corpening (Linda); her sisters, Assistant Pastor Corinthia Dula( Roger), Rosemarie Hood; thirteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; one god-daughter, Minister Tanisha Hall McCorkle (Fred) and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Sunday, May 5, 2013 at J. E. Broyhill Civic Center at 3:00 p.m. with Dr. Lonnie Gray officiating and Evangelist Irene Caldwell and Elder Jeffrey Griffin as the Eulogists. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Civic Center.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Bible-Way Church #10, Parsonage, 509 Robbins Ave., NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
She was faithful, she was dedicated, loving, beautiful and she was our hero of faith, awesome Overseer, mother, and friend of God. Overseer Caldwell was truly gifted in raising the praises of God.
