Kathryn W. Osborne

Kathryn Worley Osborne, 95, of 809 Kay Street, Lenoir, died June 21, 2014 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. She was born on March 16, 1919 in Asheville, North Carolina to the late Freda Russell and Robert Jackson Worley. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Byron M. Osborne Jr., and her daughter, Margaret Ann Sarley.

Mrs. Osborne was a graduate of Radford College in Radford, VA. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lenoir. She was also a member of the Lenoir Woman’s Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Daughters of the Confederacy.

Mrs. Osborne is survived by a daughter, Kathy O. Chandler and husband Robert, of Hudson; grandchildren Jennifer L. Fox and husband Shane, of Lenoir, Justin G. Chandler of Hudson; Casey S. Boseck and husband Martin, of Bel-Air, Maryland; and David M. Sarley Jr. and wife Leisa, of Huntersville; and great-grandchildren Ryan and Caroline Fox; Ashlea, Courtney, and Gracie Boseck, and David and Daniel Sarley.

The family extends warm gratitude to Mrs. Osborne’s caregivers: Claudia Dixon, Linda Perkins, Resha Shell, Sue Hartsoe, Shirley Moore, and the staff and nurses at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care.

Memorial Services will be held at First Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 3:00 pm with Reverend Bill Leathers officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3 pm in the church parlor.
