Lloyd Dean Reese

Mr. Reese was born November 24, 1930 in Zionsville, NC to the late Lloyd and Julia Potter Reese. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Bowers Reese and previous wife, Hazel Clonch Reese; stepmother, Ella Reese; two daughters, Rose and Rita Reese; six brothers; two half brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include one son, Tommy Reese of Lenoir, NC; three daughters, Charlsey Reese Corley of Lenoir, NC, Martha Harris of Memphis, TN, Linda Barrett of Tampa, FL, one stepdaughter, Lisa Bowers of Lenoir, NC; one stepsister, Ola Greer of Lenoir, NC; seven grandchildren, Paul and John Harris, Chad and Brooks Wright, Tyler and Jordan Reese, and Tonya Coiner; and ten great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held for Mr. Reese, Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Pendry’s Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rick Bowman and Reverend Terry Barrett officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM prior to the service at Pendry’s Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Tyler and Jordan Reese and Chad Wright, Farris Reese, John Greer, and Rocky Wright.
