Martha L. Brown

Mrs. Brown was born on March 20, 1939 in Wilkes County to the late Floyd and Cora Green Wolfe. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend E.L. Brown and several brothers and sisters.

She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Tim Brown and wife Debra of Gamewell, NC; three daughters, Kathy Corpening and husband, Kelly, Cheryl Bare and husband, Ron, all of Lenoir, NC, and Sue Stevens and husband, Mark of Virginia; Several brothers and sisters; nine grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Brown will be held Monday, October 17, 2011 at Union Grove Baptist Church at 11:00 am with the Reverend Sam Craven officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Grace & Truth Baptist Church Cemetery in Icard, NC.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Norris, Gordan Helms, Ronnie Green, Ronnie Scruggs, Joshua Moody, and Ron Bare.
