Mary Faye Harris Chandler

Born June 17, 1928 in Caldwell County, she was the daughter of the late Roy Walter Pope and Edna Lucille Pritchard Pope.

Mrs. Chandler was a very active member of Mountain Grove Baptist Church. She had a beloved friend “shopping buddy” Gail Duncan. She also had a special niece Angie Abernethy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and 1st husband Charles William Harris; daughter, Pamela Harris Craig; 2 brothers, Roy Gene and J.D.; and baby Sister Betty.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Theodore Hill Chandler; Sons, Jerry Harris and wife Betty of Granite Falls, Allen Harris and wife Barbara of Hudson, and Jim Chandler and wife Deidra of Hickory; daughters, Linda Brown Coffey of Lenoir, Doris Harris Brawley of Granite Falls, and Linda Stapleton of Morganton; 2 sisters, Ruth Watson of Granite Falls and Shirley Baker of Hickory; also survived by 20 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends September, 3, 2012 from 2:00PM – 3:00PM at Mountain Grove Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held on September, 3, 2012 at 3:00PM at Mountain Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Clifton Black, Reverend Jeff Burkheimer and Reverend Michael Issac officiating.
