Mary Christine Faulkner

Mary Christine Wheeling Faulkner, 77, of Granite Falls, NC, died at home on December 13, 2010. She was born August 19, 1933 in Caldwell County to Ollie Mae and Horace Wheeling now deceased. Christine was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church and worked for many years for Stanley Home Products and Outpost Fish Camp until her retirement in 1997.

Survivors include her loving husband, James David Faulkner of Granite Falls; two daughters, Charlene Reese of Statesville, Elaine and Husband Larry Drum of Sawmills, NC; two sons, Anthony Gregory Williams and wife Debra of Sawmills, and James “Peanut” Williams of Lenoir. She was also survived by one brother, Larry Wheeling and wife Mary Linda of Baton; two step-children, David Faulkner and Diane Beaver. Grandchildren include Miranda Cherry, Samantha White, Christy Quesenberry, Vickie Hager and Larry Boe Drum. Christine had 9 great-grandchildren and 12 step-grandchildren.

Christine was preceded in death by one son Larry Allen Watson and a sister Glenda Whisnant.

Services for Christine will be held at Sunrise Baptist Church Friday, December 17, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend David Woods and Reverend Ed Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive Friday at the church from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.

Any donation may be made in her honor to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645. Any flowers may be sent to Pendry’s Funeral Home in Lenoir, NC.

Christine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
