Mary Morgan Haas

Mrs. Haas was born on August 8, 1940 in Burke County to the late George and Jettie Crawford Morgan. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, William “Bill” Morgan of Hildebran, NC; two half-brothers and one half-sister, all of Hickory, NC.

She was a member of Clearview Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, E. Truitt Haas of the home; one son, Anthony E. Haas and wife, Susan of Hudson, NC; three daughters, Laura H. Norris of Hudson, NC, Deborah H. and husband, David Coffey of Sawmills, NC, Kimberly H. and husband, Cecil “Buck” Singleton of Hudson, NC; four grandchildren, Christopher R. Norris, Russell W. Coffey, Anthony Justin Haas, and Amber S. and husband, Justin Church; and one great grandchild, Mackenzie Church.

A graveside service for Mrs. Haas was held, Sunday, August 14, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Bollinger’s Cemetery in Hudson, NC with the Reverend John Pritchard officiating.

The family has requested that memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
