Melisa Missy Cullop Mullinax

Melisa “Missy” Ann Cullop Mullinax, 43, of Granite Falls, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care.

Missy was born in Freemont, Ohio to Barbara Cullop Ferguson of Granite Falls and the late Gary Curtis Cullop. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and nana, and an active member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

In addition to her mother, she leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband Robert Dennis Mullinax, Jr. of the home; her daughter Cassandra LeAnn Mullinax and husband Justin Phillips of Hudson; her son Charlie Dennis Mullinax of Granite Falls; brother Jimmy Cullop and wife Kathy of Concord; sisters Kathy Vance and husband Neil of Lenoir, Kim Shatley and husband Richard of Hudson and Angie Miller and husband Lyle of Hickory; two grandchildren, Abigail Mullinax and Emma Mullinax and one on the way.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with Reverend Eric Lane officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, October 5, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.
