Mickey Dean Lewis, age 72 of Lenoir, passed away, on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Valdese Hospital. Born Thursday, May 24, 1950 to the late Kenley Lewis and Janet Colegrove Lewis, in Charleston, SC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife Patricia Sain Lewis, son Jeramie Lewis, daughters Noel Lasseter (Buddy), Jessica Lewis, and Renee Lewis. Mickey also leaves behind nine grandchildren and two cousins, who he considered as brothers Ray and Dale Edwards along with a number of nieces and nephews.

Mickey will be remembered for being a loving husband, father, and friend. After serving in the United States Navy in the Vietnam War, Lewis went on to be a Deputy Sheriff in Kansas and later a US Marshall. Retiring later in life as a truck driver, most will remember his love for music and his ability to play the guitar.

The Graveside Service for Mickey will be held at the Hickman Family Cemetery, Matheson St. Hudson, on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Tim Eller officiating.
