Ollie Virginia Cline Storie

Mrs. Storie was born in Watauga County to the late Robert Cline and Alice Church Cline. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ivey R. Storie; a son-in-law, Wayne Braswell; grandson, Jonathan Kent Steele, and great granddaughter, Abigail Wambach; two brothers and two sisters.

She worked for Macks for 25 years and was a member of Yadkin Baptist Church for over 75 years. Her family was most important in her life and they always came first. She also enjoyed traveling, reading and quilting.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Margaret Wilcox and husband R. D. of Lorton, VA, Wayburn Braswell of Lenoir, Dot Coleman and husband Brent of Hudson, Dianne Henderson and husband Tommy of Charlotte, and Debbie Steele and husband Kenny of Lenoir; her sister, Ina Welch of Lenoir; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and twelve great, great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special and dear extended family Gene and Sadie Woods; and her precious roommate, Kathleen “Miss Kitty” Ogborn.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Yadkin Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Stuart White and Reverend Robert Livingston officiating. Burial will follow at Yadkin Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Lenoir Healthcare staff for the love and care given to their mother.
