Phyllis Dishman

Phyllis “Granny” Storie Dishman, 63 of Lenoir, NC passed away, Friday, August 13, 2010 at Palliative Care Center and Hospice of Catawba Valley in Newton, NC.

Mrs. Dishman was born in Caldwell County to the late Joshua Leonard Storie and Pansy Rich Storie Babb.

Survivors include her former spouse and friend, Johnny R. Dishman; one son, Richard and his wife Debbie Dishman of Lenoir, NC; twin brothers, Alton Storie of Morganton, NC and Atwell Story of Newton; one sister, Cynthia Wright of Hickory, NC; and one granddaughter, Ellie Denise Dishman.

A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Dishman at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir, NC at 4:00 pm Sunday, August 15, 2010 with the Reverend David McNeil officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at Pendry’s Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until 3:45 pm.

Pallbearers will be Stoney Story, Judd Story, John Storie, Kenneth Wright, Todd Smith, Timmy Williams, Mark Matheson, and Scott Marshall.
