Ray Wright Dishman

Mr. Dishman was born on September 23, 1935 in Watauga County to the late Toy Ray and Lena Dare Trivette Dishman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister, “GG” Cornett and husband Jim.

He was retired from Kincaid Furniture and was of the Baptist faith.

Those left to cherish his memory are two sons, Tommy Ray Dishman and wife, Donna of Drexel, NC, Andrew Lane Dishman of Morganton, NC; one daughter, Teresa Lynn Dishman Murphy and husband Randy of Granite Falls, NC; two brothers, Paul Dishman of Hudson, NC and Johnny Dishman of Lenoir, NC; two sisters, Madeline Cornett and husband, Boyd of Ohio, and Kay Steiner and husband, David of Shallotte, NC; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

A graveside service for Mr. Dishman will be held, Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Millsap Family Cemetery in Bethel, NC in Watauga County ; outside of Boone, NC.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dallas and Michael Murphy, Andy, Andrew Harold, Gary, Tommy and Cotie Dishman.
