Rebecca "Becky" June Swallows Young, age 60, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at AMOREM Hospice in Valdese. Rebecca was born November 25, 1964 in Caldwell County to the late Franklin C. Swallows and the late Frances Thomason Swallows.
Becky was a kind, considerate person, always willing to help others and was willing to help others at any time. Becky had no biological children, but she was known for being a "mother" to many. She was a member of Free Spirit Baptist Church and was loved by her fellow church members.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Renee Townsend and husband Jeffery of Hudson, her brother, Donald Swallows and wife Sheila of Lenoir.
A Celebration of Life to honor Becky will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Free Spirit Baptist Church in Hudson with Rev. Calvin Hargett officiating. A private burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeffery Townsend, Mike Phillips, Alan Beaver and John Beavers.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 12:45 pm until 1:45 pm at Free Spirit Baptist Church.
