Reuben Henry Clark

He was born on January 6, 1930 in Avery County to the late Hickie Bloomfield Clark and Arkie Elizabeth Clark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Clark and second wife, Barbara Clark; sons, Reuben "Eugene" Clark, Ernest Jr. Clark, and Harvey Clark; brothers, Homer Clark, and Grover Clark; and sister, Mamie Crump.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons Robert Clark, Roy Clark and wife Margie, and James Beaver; daughters, Joann Sullivan, Margie Lee Clark, Margie Sue Clark, Rachel Beaver and husband Cotton Robbins; brother, Ralph Clark; sisters, Ellen Felder and Rosa Clark; twenty-one grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, with one more on the way, and five great-great grandchildren.

Mr. Clark was a veteran and worked doing bridge maintenance for the state of North Carolina during his lifetime. He loved working with his hands and building different things. He also enjoyed eating and loved his Diet Mountain Dews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1 pm to 3 pm,Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Pendry's Funeral Home.
