

Mr. Gervais was born on September 21, 1944, in Watauga Co., to the late Clarence Gervais and Edna Price Gervais. He attended Wilkes Central HS in Wilkesboro. He was a truck driver for many years and was retired. Mr. Gervais loved to go dancing in his spare time and enjoyed being with his friends and family. He was an avid reader, enjoyed history , trains and airplanes. He loved his family dearly and cherished the times he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Clarence “June” Gervais, Jr. and Jack Gervais; and sisters, Lois Rock and Jean Andrews.
Left behind to cherish his memory, are his daughter, Leslie Gervais Zapata, of Lenoir; sister, Margaret Phillips, of Wilkesboro; granddaughters, Kathryne and Stayci Clinton; great-granddaughters, Ahnya and Imani Rivera; great-grandsons, Kameron Tolbert and Ares Hampton, all of Lenoir; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 24th, 2017 at 7 PM, at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home, with Pastor Rodney Raby officiating.
