Ruby Mae Hall

She was born September 24, 1927 in Caldwell County; she was the daughter of the late William Bill Pierce and Lilly Mae Bowman Pierce. She worked in the furniture industry at Bernhardt Plant 6 and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo G. Hall; a brother, Floyd Pierce; four sisters, Ruth Adams, Irene Pierce, Pauline Brown, and Dorothy Pierce.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Steve Hall of Arden, NC; a daughter, Patricia Philyaw and husband Carroll of Lenoir, NC; two brothers, Jr. Pierce of Lenoir, NC and Fred Pierce of Lenoir, NC; a sister, Hazel Kirby of Lenoir, NC; four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church at 12:00 with the Reverend Alan Carr officiating. The burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Chad Shehan, Jon-Mykal Chester, Auston Philyaw, Matthew Greene, Jozy Philyaw and Mason Greene.
