Ruth L. Bean

Mrs. Ruth Estelle Land Bean, 84, of Lenoir, NC, passed away Friday, September 2, 2011 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir, NC.

Mrs. Bean was born in Caldwell County to the late David A. and Callie Estelle Knight Land on November 30, 1926. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by several brothers, and one sister.

She was a member of the Philadelphia Primitive Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of sixty-one years, Richard Bean; two sons, Jeffrey D. Bean, Jack R. Bean, Jr. and wife, Kimberly, all of Lenoir, NC; one daughter, Callie B. Annas of Lenoir, NC; one brother, Verne K. Land and wife, Jan of Hudson, NC; one sister, Patricia L. Crouch of Lenoir, NC; and three grandchildren, Charles Jason Annas, Callie Renee’ Annas, and Annie Zamira Bean.

A graveside service for Mrs. Bean will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 4:30 pm at Philadelphia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Charles Brawley officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, September 5, 2011 at open hours at the home of Callie Ruth Annas.

The family requests that memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
