Sarah Jane Cox, 70, of Lenoir passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 At Caldwell UNC Healthcare in Lenoir. Mrs. Cox was born in Caldwell County to the late Arney Calvin Cox and Minnie Edna Church Cox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hardin lee Cox, and six brothers and sisters. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Lenoir Seventh Day Adventist Church and she worked for many years as a CNA at Lenoir Living Center. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sherry Elaine Parsons of Lenoir, and Rhonda Renee Brookshire of Hudson; sons, Sonny Greer of Lenoir, Travis Cox of Lenoir, two devoted granddaughters, Shasta Haas and husband Steven, Lashaya Kirby , both of Lenoir and Sarah’s best friend, Raymond Lovins of Lenoir. A funeral service will be held on, August 11, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home with Rev. Clifton Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Ellis Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home. Words of comfort may be expressed to the family at www.pendrysfuneralhome.com.
