Sherry A Coffey

Sherry Ann Settlemyre Coffey, 60, of Lenoir, NC passed away, Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Caldwell County Hospice and Palliative Care.

Ms. Coffey was born in Catawba County to the late John Clyde and Annie Burnell Pugh Settlemyre. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Quentin Coffey and one sister, Marilyn Settlemyre.

She was a member of the Friendship United Methodist Church in Burke County and was employed by Bernhardt Furniture Industries.

Survivors include one son, Michael Coffey and wife of Wichita, Kansas; one daughter, Elaine Settlemyre of Flint, MI; three brothers, John C. Settlemyre and wife of Granite Falls, NC, Dennis Settlemyre and wife of Clio, MI, Tim Settlemyre of Newton, NC; two sisters, Martha Settlemyre of Longview, NC, and Deborah Foskett Settlemyre of Flint, MI; nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

A funeral service for Ms. Coffey will be held, Monday, August 23, 2010 in Pendry’s Chapel at 11:00 am with Pastor Douglas Cox officiating. The body will lie in state from 10:30 am until 11:00 am prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery in Rhodhiss. The family will receive friends, Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Pendry’s Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm.
