Shirley Faye Woody

Shirley Faye Spears Woody, 70 of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026 at her residence. She was born on June 30, 1955 in Caldwell County to Annie Watson Ward and the late Albert Ed Ward.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Gary Steve Woody, and a brother Kenneth Lee Spears.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Heather Woody of Lenoir and Christina Woody Cole and husband John of Lenoir, her mother, Annie Watson Ward of Lenoir, four grandchildren: Mackenzie and Malaki Woody, Hailey Cole and Jax Williams, a sister. Betty Woodie and husband Clifford of Lenoir.

Also left to cherish her memory are her fur babies: Brutus, Zoey, King, Queen and Amber.

A graveside service for Shirley will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Garden, in Lenoir, North Carolina.

Serving as pallbearers will be Heather Woody, Christina Woody, Jason Woodie, Taylor Woody, Todd Woody, Tracy Woody and Malaki Woody.
