Theresa Pallie Moore was born July 29, 1950 in Caldwell County. Her parents were Floyd Moore and Nina Hipps Moore. Theresa had the nickname of Tesie and she changed that to TC. She graduated from Hibriten HS and attended Corcoran School of Arts in Washington, DC and Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute. While in DC she worked as a secretary for the American Institute of Architects, the American Institute of Microbiology, Quality Inn Capitol Hill. When returning to Lenoir she worked for Caldwell County Health Department then Western Carolina Electric Supply Co. from Sept 1976 until May 1982 then moved to East Bend, NC and worked at Old Salem then for KRW-International for 30 years. TC moved to East Bend to help her friend, Judy Cummings, restore an old farm house. She was overcome by the many possibilities of making this place a dream plantation and a draw for her family. During her time in East Bend, she captured the heart of all community and church membership. She reached out to all and started a Senior Saints Christmas party, inviting anyone and everyone in Yadkin County and beyond that were 60 years of age. TC grew up in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church then as a youth joined Tabernacle Advent Christian Church. Later in life she returned to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and when she moved to East Bend she joined Prospect United Methodist Church where she was their choir director for 28 years until struck with cancer and served on the Social Concerns Committee of her church. Such a strong angelic force, she fought cancer for 6 years, being attacked 3 times. Her compassion and desire to give to others brought her many rewards and now the ultimate of being with family, friends, loved ones and most of all Jesus in her heavenly home.
TC loved her animals and if she saw a stray beside the road, would stop and pick it up and doctor it up and find it a home or keep it herself. She was a giving person and helped others that she found in need. TC also was a story teller and when her family got together she always was the main entertainment. Her nieces and nephews all loved her dearly and passed that love on to their children.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Gene, John, Douglas and Kenneth, sisters: Frances Pennell and Debra Moore; brothers-in-law: Bruce Clifton and Robert Whisnant and sister-in-law: Verna Mae Moore.
