Wanda Helton White

Wanda Helton White, age 79, of Lenoir passed peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2025. She was born in Burke County on June 7, 1945, to the late Clyde and Mary Helton. Wanda was a graduate of Gamewell-Collettsville High School and attended Piedmont Community College and Caldwell Community College, where she received a real estate license. Wanda retired from La-Z-Boy Furniture, where she worked as a customer service representative.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Mary Helton and her siblings Joyce Reinhold, Margaret Hatley, and Clarence Helton.

Wanda is survived by her daughters Kathi Hoyle (Ted Staton) of Lenoir and Jeanna Berry (Darryle Ziegler) of Cary; grandchildren Peyton Hoyle of Lenoir and Dallas Berry (wife Caroline) of Locust Grove, VA; nieces Kimberly Dollar of Charlotte and Julia Nelson of Maryville, CA; nephews Lance Reinhold, Joseph and Chris Helton; and grand-nephew Jason Dollar.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home, 522 Wilkesboro Blvd., Lenoir, NC 28645.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 PM on Saturday, May 24, 2025 in the chapel of Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home.

A private burial will take place at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Amorem Hospice, 1721 Enon Rd, Valdese, NC 28690.
