My condolences to the family. I worked with Billy many years ago. Billy was fun to be around and had a sweet nature. 
I am so sorry about your loss and heartache.

Dizzy, you were one of a kind! Very particular about the way you liked things, almost methodical at work. You taught me a lot about and helped me feel welcome when I started working at the factory with you. You were always open and honest about your past and never refused to answer questions if I had them. I saw you looking forward to being on the outside again and you talked about how much your daughter meant to you. I hate that you couldn’t put your demons aside and see how much people cared for you. You were a good hard worker and I enjoyed hearing your stories. RIP Lollipop. 

My dear younger brother Billy. A life gone way too soon. We didn't get to spend a lot of time together but the talks we had the past year an a half I am going to miss so very much. We will never understand what happened but now you are a free spirit to be bothered no more. Love you always, your sis Shannon.

Good morning sunshine how are you on this beautiful day well it's beautiful but it can't match my daughters Beauty. I send my love with big hug tell Jaden I said hey I love him and give him a Scruff on the Noggin for me.
   The last time I received a message from you just before you decided to take your own life. I will never understand why. I have so many questions to ask and I will never get an answer. I would have never thought you would leave us so soon. There was so much we didn't get to do together. Life without your morning txt or coming to see me and Jayden will be so different. Your smile, your laugh, the ear to listen, your gentle words, and even the times you got mad, I will never forget anything about you. I am going to miss you more then you knew because if you knew it was going to hurt me as bad as I hurt you would still be here. I blame myself, I'm mad at you, I blame others, I am hurt, I just can't understand. I know you are at peace, and  watching down over Jayden and I, so do me a favor and help me get through it all. I love you daddy I will miss you forever and a day. Love your Beautiful Daughter.

My dearest "little brother" Billy. What a life bro!!! As kids, we might not have had the best, but boy of we didn't make it the best. Warriors of the woods!! Freedom of the world!! It was ours!! We built fortresses in the woods and swung from the vines! Of course you fell a few times, but never let that stop you from jumping back on to do it again and again!! Building bikes from spare parts that other people threw away! We made them awesome!!! You taking something that I was jealous about, and you know what I am talking about, and getting in trouble!! I felt so badly about it!! But you know it's still here with us as one of the many things we as kids do!! You taking off the door knobs and the radios just to see how they worked. Hours and hours just learning to pronounce your name correctly. Us looking like hoodlums when spaghetti night rolled around about once a year and having that sauce all over us!!! Your interest in everything as we grew older. You learnt so early how to make money. I remember you buying hot balls from the store and taking them to school and more than quadrupling your money!! Then there shortly came my girls. And you were smitten with Jessica. You loved Nikki too, but Jessica stole your heart!!! And she kept it until you finally had that sweet baby of yours!! Little Miss Leslie!! And she had you wrapped around that little finger!! And then came same bad decisions that we all dealt with for about 22 years. Then just like a dream, you were here again!!! I was so happy and so excited for you!!! It was your time to shine!!! I was so proud of you!!! I really thought we would have forever to make up for lost times!! I was wrong!! My eulogy to my friend , My Billy.
I will never forget the day we met, you with your confidence and swag. Literally at that moment I was able to breathe, I had My first best friend. You fueled a fire in me that I didn’t know I had for leather and speed (I was your tomboy you said) As well as, you My first Love- You listened and comforted me. Oh so patient and gentle (unforgettable)
My hero, my Cast Away thats what you were. It is rare that you find someone that you can be so honest with, so you, real, and feel no judgment that’s what I had, unconditional love. 
Parting ways, to never hear your voice again, has ripped out a piece of my heart.

I didnt really know your dad on a personal level but I will say he always had a smile on his face and always trying to make someone laugh the few times I got to be around him. He was a very kind man! I know he is loved by many and will be truly missed.  Sending prayers and condolences. ❤

Billy was born January 4, 1977 in Caldwell County to William Nathaniel Willard Jr and Reba Beane Willard of Hudson.


In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Leslie Willard of Lenoir, a beloved grandson, Jayden Willard of Lenoir, sisters, Carolyn Beane of Hudson, Joni Church of Hudson, Shannon Cockerhan and husband Jeremiah of Sevierville, TN. Tonda Denise Lovelace and husband Mike of Hudson, Lisa Stansel of Hickory, nieces, Jessica V. Beane of Granite Falls and Nichole Hilton of Hudson.
