Born on September 4, 1965, in Chesapeake, Virginia, Willie was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend. He was known to those around him as "Winky," a name that reflected his charm and sense of humor.
He is survived by his mother, Willie Mae Burnes; his sons, Derrick Jaindl, Lance Lopsey, Jeffrey Quinton, and Pleasant Burnes; his brothers Pleasant W. Burnes Jr., Robert Wunderler, Donald Clarke, Christopher Clarke, and William Burnes; and his sisters Sharon Burnes, Robbin Graham, Jo Ann Felton, Lisa Stewart, Angela Clarke, Virginia Rivas, and Jessica Burnes. He is also remembered by his stepmother Rosemarie Clarke. Winky was preceded in death by his father, Pleasant W. Burnes Sr.
A memorial gathering to honor Winky’s life will be held on March 29, 2025 in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
