Benito Gonzalez

Funeral Services are under the direction of George Price Funeral Home in Levelland, Texas and will be held on Monday, March 5, 2012 at 2:00 pm at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland, Texas with Father Rudy Krasta officiating. Burial will follow at the City of Levelland Cemetery in Levelland, Texas. There will be a Visitation with a speaker on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the George Price Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a Rosary on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at 7:00 pm at the George Price Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland, Texas.

Benito was born May 9, 1964 in Brownfield, Texas, the son of Benito and Gregoria (Pena) Gonzalez, Sr. He graduated from Levelland High School in 1982. Benito loved being with his family and friends. His hobbies were softball, softball, and more softball. He would also umpire softball and baseball games. Benito was on different bowling leagues in Levelland and Lubbock. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland, Texas.

Benito is survived by his mother and step-father; Gregoria and Florentino Cervantes, one son; Benito Raymon “Ray” Gonzalez of Bovina, Texas, two brothers; Eliazer Gonzalez and his wife, Ruth of Odessa, Texas and Benjamin “BJ” Gonzalez and his wife, Bonnie of Levelland, Texas,two sisters; Dalia Reyes and her husband, Lupe , and Maggie Longoria, both of Levelland, Texas, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and his best friend and companion, Laurie Kiser. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father; Benito Gonzalez, Sr., two brothers; Oscar and Hector Gonzalez, and a brother-in-law; Carlos Longoria, Jr.
