

Bobbie “Bob” Gene Odell of Levelland passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015, at Baylor Heart Hospital in Plano, Texas. Services to celebrate Bob’s life will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2015, at 2 pm at Cactus Drive Church of Christ in Levelland. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 pm on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at George Price Funeral Home. Bob, the son of Robert and Neva O’Dell, was born in Levelland, Texas on July 11, 1935. He graduated from Levelland High School in 1954. Bob was employed by Continental-Emsco in Sundown in 1957. He married Linda Deere on November 28, 1958. Bob later went to work for Dunco Oil Field Supply as General Manager on June 1, 1976 until 2000. He then worked for Aim Bank as a courier from 2007 until March 2015 when he had his stroke. Bob was an active member of the community having been in the National Guard for 10 years, a long time member of Rotary, a Little Dribblers coach, a Little League coach, Booster Club, LISD School Board member, President of Chamber of Commerce, long time member of Cactus Drive Church of Christ, serving as deacon and then elder. Bob loved traveling to Colorado with his family and fishing. Bob left a legacy of a strong faith in God and was proud of his church history and his town of Levelland. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Neva O’Dell. He is survived by his wife, Linda; one daughter, Staci and David Noles; one son, Barry and Meri Lyn Odell; five grandchildren, Kevin and Diane Noles, Kirk and Michaela Noles, Kelly and Brittney Noles, Kelsey and Casey Williams, and Derek Odell; two great-grandchildren, Nixon Noles and Liam Odell; one great-grandchild on the way; one brother, Frank and Lois O’Dell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
