Dorothy Faye Morris Birchfield

Funeral services for Dorothy Birchfield, 82, of Levelland will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Austin Street Church of Christ with Jay Kelley officiating. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home. She died Saturday, November 23, 2013 in Lubbock.

Dorothy was born on March 31, 1931 in Dalhart, Texas to Leroy and Clara Lee (Rogers) Morris. She moved to Levelland in 1970 from Dalhart. Dorothy married Waymon Birchfield on September 28, 1950 in Dalhart and he preceded her in death in 1995. She drove a school bus for the Levelland Independent School District for approximately 20 years before retiring. She was a member of Austin Street Church of Christ and the V. F. W. Women’s Auxillary.

She was preceded in death by two daughters: Linda Phillips in 1979, Susan Diane Birchfield in 1972 and a son Chris Birchfield, in 2000.

She is survived by two daughters: Paula Denis Birchfield of Oroville, Washington and Melissa Phillips of Levelland, Texas; a sister: Jerri Sue Ford of Pineville, Missouri and a brother: Mark B. Morris of Yucaipi, California, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
