Gavino Salazar Salinas

Funeral Mass is under the direction of George Price Funeral Home in Levelland, Texas and will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland, Texas with Father Rudy Crasta officiating. Interment will follow at the City of Levelland Cemetery in Levelland, Texas. A Rosary will be read on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 7:00 pm at George Price Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland, Texas.

Gavino was born on February 19, 1932 in Lampasas, Texas. He was the son of Gameliel and Simona (Salazar) Salinas. He married Eva Arriaga in Levelland, Texas on April 13, 1960, and she preceded him in death in 1965. He was very active with St. Michael's Par-ish. Gavino Married Maria-Lena Mendez May 5, 1966 in Levelland, Texas. She also preceded him in death in 2004.

He is survived by eight sons, six daughters, three brothers and 4 sisters,thirty-seven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
