James Matthew Barker

Funeral services for Matt Barker, 42, of Lubbock and formerly of Levelland, Texas will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 26, 2013 in George Price Funeral Chapel, Levelland. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland. He died Sunday, September 22, 2013.

Matt was born on September 4, 1970 in Lubbock, Texas to Frank Barker and Sandra Sue Case. He attended schools in Levelland and graduated Levelland High School in 1989 and then went on to graduate from South Plains College in 1993. He also attended Wayland Baptist College in Lubbock and was TCLEOSE Certified. Matt was employed by Griffin Transportation.

Survivors include his sons: James Brandon Barker and his wife, Justice of Littlefield, Texas; and Christopher Barker of Amarillo, Texas; his parents: Sandra and Travis Copeland of Lubbock, Texas; and Frank and Tracy Barker of Levelland, Texas; his brother: Frank Barker of Colorado Springs, a granddaughter, Cheyenne Barker of Littlefield and four nephews and a niece,.

Pallbearers will be: Tim Turk, Shawn Wilkerson, Drew Barker, Mark Lucio, Ryan Krier, Dustin Krier and Chris Wilkerson.
