

Funeral Services are under the direction of George Price Funeral Home in Levelland, Texas and will be held Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 2:00 pm at George Price Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lee Weldon Stephenson, officiating. Military Honors presented by Cannon Air Force Base Honor Guard. Interment will follow at the City of Levelland Cemetery in Levelland, Texas.
Mr. Logsdon was born October 13,1940 in Levelland, Texas. He was the son of Elba Lewis “Slim” and Lillie Lorene (Dobbs) Logsdon. After serving a tour during the Vietnam Era, he was discharged from the United States Air Force. He Married Gloria Jean Clevenger on May 1, 1960 in Bula, Texas. He worked in the oilfields for over thirty-five years before beginning his second career in the field of cross country trucking which he did for another seventeen years earning the One Million Mile Safe Driver Award while driving for Arrow Trucking before retiring. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Levelland, Texas.
Jimmy is survived by Jean, his wife and best friend of fifty-one years, his mother; Lorene Autry of Levelland, Texas, two sons; Kelly Logsdon and his wife, Regina of Ft. Worth, Texas, Terry Logsdon and his wife, Tonya of Granbury, Texas, one daughter; Lisa Logsdon of Albuquerque, New Mexico, one sister; Kaye Hobgood and her husband, Wesley of Lubbock, Texas, one sister-in-law; Sam Logsdon of Ralls, Texas, five grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; Slim Logsdon, his grandmother; Fannie Dobbs, his step-father; James Autry, and one brother; Alvin Logsdon.
