

Funeral services for Juanita Warren Haggerton, 86, of Cedar Hill, Texas and formerly of Levelland and Sundown will be at 3:00 pm, Monday, February 24, 2014 at College Avenue Baptist Church, Levelland with Rev. Merle Fulmer of Lubbock officiating. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland. She died Thursday, February 20, 2014 in Duncanville, Texas.
She was born on June 12, 1926 in Lincoln, Arkansas. She moved to the Red Top C9ommunity near Graham, Texas at an early age. She later moved to the South Plains in 1936 and lived in the Pettit Community for three years and then moved to Tokio with her family. She finished high school in Brownfield, Texas.
Nita married Tyndal Warren on May 13, 1944 and moved to Levelland where she worked at several places of business, the last being for the City of Levelland. Tyndal preceded her in death on April 21, 1983. She later married Raymond Haggerton on April 14, 1988 and moved to Sundown where she lived until his death on February 7, 1998.
She was a member of the Golden Ambassadors of Sundown, the Senior Citizens in Sundown, Levelland, and Lubbock, and the Silver Streak Trailer Club. She was a member of the Sundown Baptist Church and then she rejoined College Avenue Baptist Church after moving back to Levelland. She later moved to Cedar Hill, Texas to be close to her son.
Survivors include her son: Ted Warren and his wife, Karen of Midlothian, Texas; her extended family: Wayne Haggerton and his wife Loretta of Sundown, and Nancy Gosset of Orlando, Florida and her brother in law: Myron Caroland of Kamay, Texas; eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and friends.
