

Mildred Durham, 89, passed away December 19, 2015 in Snyder, Texas. A family visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at George Price Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at the George Price Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery. Mildred was born June 26, 1926 in Fredericksburg, Texas to parents, Adolph Willie and Mildred Morning (Hunt) Haag. She attended Uvalde High School. Mildred married Raymond Douglas Durham on May 6, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas. They moved to Levelland in 1953 and started their own business. Mildred volunteered with the Hockley County Senior Citizens in the literacy program and as a receptionist. She also ran the Hockley County Food Box for many years. The Durham’s volunteered each Christmas at the VA Hospital in Big Spring by decorating one wing of the hospital to make the holiday cheerful for others. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Douglas Dwain Durham, 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Joyce (Jimmie) McIntire of Snyder; grandchildren, Missy (David) Turrentine, Jennifer (Jayson) Presley, Darcy (Barron) Wardwell, Rachel Durham, Daniel Durham, Erica Mitchell and Jerad Mitchell; and 15 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials to the Hockley County Food Box in Mildred’s memory.
