Funeral services for Tommy Rutledge, 78, of Levelland will be 11:00 am, Thursday, October 8, 2009 at First Baptist Church, Levelland, Texas with Dr. Brian Hill, Minister of Education, officiating. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery, Levelland, Texas under direction of George Price Funeral Home. He died Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at Covenant Medical Center, Lubbock, Texas. Born on May 5, 1931 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Arthur C. and Maude Tucker Rutledge, he moved to Levelland, Texas in 1957 from Sayre, Oklahoma. He married Elena Trammell on February 17, 1950 in Altus, Oklahoma. Tommy worked for Simmons Machine for a number of years and then opened Trico Machine on October 1, 1980 and operated it until April 1, 1994.Survivors include his wife, Elena Rutledge of Levelland, Texas; two daughters: Vickie Rutledge Helton of Lubbock, Texas and Kandy Price of Bedford, Texas; a son: Todd Rutledge of Whitharral, Texas; a sister: Jean Purdy of Oneida, New York; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.To leave online condolences please go to www.georgepricefunerals.com
