Agnes M. Metts was welcomed into the arms of the Lord with her loving husband at her side on January 7, 2026 at the age of 81. Born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, she moved to Bristol with her husband in 1965.
She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Levittown. An avid animal lover, she donated to charitable organizations throughout her life, particularly the Women’s Animal Center where she adopted her most recent fur-baby named Chevy.
She graduated from South Union High School where she met her future husband and the love of her life. She worked in multiple occupations in her lifetime, the last of which was Estee Lauder, where she retired.
Agnes touched the hearts of everyone she met. She was always there at any time of day to listen, love, and support everyone without judgment. Her presence was a constant source of inspiration, and her spirit and loving words will continue to uplift those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered for her strength, generous heart, kind words, and compassion for everyone she knew.
Her greatest joy in life was being married to her husband. She loved when family and friends would come to visit, especially when they would bring their dogs to play with Chevy. She also enjoyed reading, doing word searches, and watching game shows on TV beside her husband. She enjoyed listening to music without regards to the volume, or whomever was present in the room.
Agnes’s legacy of love and support will forever be remembered by her family and friends and she will be dearly missed.
She was predeceased by her parents, Steve and Mary (Zentkovich) Winsler of Uniontown, her sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Steve Elek of Uniontown, her brother Steve Winsler Jr. of Uniontown, and her son-in-law Jonathan David of Schuylkill Haven.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 60 years, James Metts Sr.; her sister Helen Kurnava of Uniontown; her children Angela David of Schuylkill Haven, James Metts Jr. of Bensalem, and Christine Schoell and husband Steve of Levittown; her grandchildren Amber, Lisa, Jonathan, Steven, Sarah, James, and Daniel; and many great grandchildren.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Women’s Animal Center of Bensalem.
