Alan F. McGovern, Jr. Alan F McGovern Jr died on Wednesday , September 24th, 2014 at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati Ohio from complications after a Bone Marrow Transplant. He was 30 and will continue to be an inspiration for years to come. Born in Bristol, the son of Janice E. Stinson and the late Alan F McGovern Sr. Alan has been a resident of Lower Bucks County for 7 years. He previously lived in Florida for the majority of his life where he graduated from Mariner High School, Cape Coral FL in 2002. Alan has worked for Lowe's Home Improvement for the last 7 years and worked his way up to a corporate position and truly enjoyed what he did. Alan loved and was a huge fan of all the Philadelphia sports teams. He enjoyed working on his truck and had a passion for playing drums. Alan truly defined the definition of an "Amazing Man". He had a selfless attitude and would help anyone at any time. Alan is survived by his son Alan F McGovern III (LJ); his fiancée Allison Maurer; his mother Janice Stinson; his sister Crystal McGovern (fiancée Paul Barrett) and niece Hailee Barrett; his grandmother Peggy Woods, and the Maurer family who he saw as his own. He is also sadly missed by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Step Father, co-workers, and friends. Family and Friends are invited to call on Thursday, from 1:00 until 3:30 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd Levittown, PA 19056. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
