

He was born on March 7, 1956 in Levittown, PA at Lower Bucks Hospital to Frank Perry and Joan Martell.
Alan was a 1974 graduate of Bishop Egan High School. He attended college at the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown and graduated from Temple University with a degree in Journalism, Class of 1980. Alan went on to earn his Master’s degree in Library Media Science from Towson University in Baltimore, MD.
After college, Alan moved out west, eventually taking up residence in San Diego, CA, where he worked at E.F. Hutton in the Graphic Arts Department. Al then moved to Maryland and was employed by the Star Democrat in Easton as a reporter. He was also employed by the Baltimore Sun newspaper.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Larraine Perry and his siblings & their spouses Frank (Ann) Perry, Louis (Loretta) Perry, Mary Beth (Mark) Costanzo and Janice (Rick) Koch as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews as well as family and friends.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 6, 2026, 11:00 am, at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown.
