Albert "Fred" Backhaus III

He was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1944, and was an honorably discharged veteran of the US Air Force.

Fred loved his family and was a great mentor to all. He will be remembered especially for all of the loud cheering he did at everyone’s activities including football, soccer, lacrosse, rugby, and softball and his presence and support at every event he attended with his family. Fred was proud of everyone and was a very kind and generous soul.

He was preceded to heaven by his parents Albert F Backhaus, Jr and Marjorie Turner.

Fred is survived by his daughter Kristi Loucks and husband Kyle along with their children: Kayla, Kacie and her husband Mikken Saint-Fidor and their children Nathan and Elijah, Konnor and fiancé Mikaela, and Kira. He is also survived by his son Fred Backhaus and wife Kori along with their children: Beau, Preston, and Logan.

Fred also leaves behind his best friend and partner Phyllis Lavin along with her children: Brad Lavin and wife Bernadette and their children: Addison, Bryan, Brody, and Bailey and Regina Ardoline and husband Jeremy and their children: Emma, Lucillia, Sienna, and Adelina.

Visitation for Albert will be held Monday, March 11, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Langhorne Presbyterian Church, 125 E Gillam Ave, Langhorne, Pennsylvania 19047. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial with full military honors will be at at 2:00 PM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, Pennsylvania 18940. Please be in line at the main office no later than 1:45 PM.
