

Albert E. Newsham Albert E. Newsham died on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 85. Born and raised in Philadephia, and formerly of South Jersey, Mr. Newsham purchased a home in the Mill Creek Falls section of Levittown and resided there for over 50 years. He spent most of his working career as a teacher with Dobbins Tech School and retiring from the Swenson Skills Center in Philadelphia in 1993. Mr. Newsham served in the US Navy. He was the Past Master of Williamson-Corinthian F&AM of PA Lodge #368, Philadelphia, in 1990. An avid Eagles fan, he held season tickets for 30 years. Mr. Newsham also enjoyed watching the Phillies. He loved working with his hands and will be well remembered as a master craftsman. Mr. Newsham was predeceased by his sons, Albert A. and Donald T. Newsham. He is survived by his long time companion, Barbara Santner of Feasterville and his devoted children, Kathy Burns (Fred) of Levittown; Steven Newsham (Jill) of Spring City; Kenneth Newsham (Linda) of Langhorne and Samuel Newsham (Jacqueline) of Warminster. He will also be sadly missed by his 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2:00 until 4:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Committal service will be held on Monday, at 9:00 am precisely, in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 3551 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
