Alice F. FerdinandAlice F. Ferdinand died on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Temple University Hospital. She was 78.Born in Hazleton, Mrs. Ferdinand had been a resident of Langhorne since 1986 and was very involved with her parish, Our Lady of Grace in Penndel.She loved her family, friends and enjoyed bowling, gardening and playing pinochle and most especially loved animals.Mrs. Ferdinand also enjoyed cooking and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She served as a Eucharistic Minister at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne.Beloved wife of the late John J. and loving mother of the late John R., Mrs. Ferdinand is survived by her devoted children, Mary Jo Sherrock of Schwenksville, Tony Ferdinand of Sarasota, FL, Janine Forrest of Schwenksville, and Michael Fortunato of Atlanta, GA.She was the proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.Mrs. Ferdinand is the sister of Lt. Col. Elizabeth McCoy, Ret. USAF of Fort Walton Beach, FL; Richard Fellin of Bel Air, MD, and the late Margaret Losty, Jeremiah Fellin and Thomas Fellin.She will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, from 9:00 until 10:30 am at Resurrection of Our Lord Church, 2000 Shelmire Avenue, Philadelphia, where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Interment will be held privately.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
